Can anyone recommend a toothpaste (available in the UK) that is sugar free, dairy free, gluten free, candida and diabetic suitable?
I’m not confident the toothpaste I’m using is completely suitable given for my condition. I’ve noticed they can contain questionable ingredients such as sorbitol, baking soda, xylitol and others.
I can’t be specific, but I’m sure if you go to a health store they will have something suitable. You’d be amazed at the different things they have in this area. Having said that, is baking soda (Sodium bicarbonate) a problem? I had a quick look online for candida diets, and they recommend Sodium bicarbonate to reduce acidity, and it’s quite definitely dairy- sugar- and gluten-free unless it’s mixed with other things, which will be mentioned on the label separately in any case.
Perhaps you are thinking of baking powder, which is a mixture of Sodium bicarbonate and Tartaric acid, often with flour added to get the volume up so it’s easier to measure in the kitchen.
